Bio:
Captain Paul Ryerson was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 2010 and appointed to El Paso, TX as his first assignment until the summer of 2014. He was then transferred to Dallas, TX as the Corps Officers of the Pleasant Grove Corps Community Center located in SE Dallas where he served until receiving his transfer orders to move to Bryan/College Station in the summer of 2016. Paul was born in Lubbock, TX, but spent the majority of his childhood in Big Spring, TX where he still comes home.  
His education includes a Bachelor of Arts from The Salvation Army School for Officer’s Training. He also received two awards during his training, the Sidney Cox Award (the highest musician’s award given at the school) and the Principal’s Award. He also has a Bachelor in Practical Christian Ministry from Trevecca Nazarene University. Paul is an ordained minister and conducts services weekly at The Salvation Army. His wife is also a Salvation Army Officer and serves alongside him at The Salvation Army of Bryan/College Station.  They have a two-year-old son named Joshua and another one on the way due in May 2017. Paul has been around the work of The Salvation Army since birth. His family has been associated with The Salvation Army for three generations.
