Texas Veterans Commission

TJ served in the United States Navy, Submarine Services from 1987-2008.  He retired after 21 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.  Following his military service, he began a career in financial services with Thrivent.

In 2014 TJ joined the Texas Veterans Commission as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist and in 2018 transitioned to a Consolidated Position. 

TJ works with Veterans to provide them employability skills including resume assistance, skill translation and interview preparation.  He also conducts outreach to employers to promote the hiring of Veterans and assist them with finding qualified candidates that are a good “fit” for their organizations.
