Dr. Miranda earned her Ph D. in Philosophy from Texas A&M in 1999. She founded Sweet Oak Colaborative in March 2022 fueled by a passion driven by community engagement for more than 30 years. This collaborative is engaged in pursuing solutions for unmet community needs in the Brazos Valley, TX.
Sweet Oak pursues solutions that can come from small group community efforts, and through activism.
Their efforts began with identifying and understanding current resources and services available in the area such as the needs of the homeless, low, and no-income families in the local community, providing educational opportunities to small groups, and nurturing future leaders.
