Lt. Col. Sam Robins has served in a multitude of leadership positions and assignments within Special Operations in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF), IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF) and INHERENT RESOLVE (OIR).
 
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. He also earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Military Free Fall Parachutist Badge, Special Operations Diver Badge, Air Assault Badge, U.S. Army Basic Recruiter Badge, Ranger Tab, and Special Forces Tab.
 
Lt. Col. Sam Robbins is a 1996 Accounting graduate of Gardner-Webb University located in Western North Carolina and upon serving 2 years as an enlisted soldier, he earned his commission as a Second Lieutenant through the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Defense Analysis degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California.
 
He is married to his bride and best friend of 22 years and together they have 4 children.
