Anne Black
OPAS

Anne Black came to Texas A&M University and MSC OPAS in 1984.  She served three years as program coordinator before becoming executive director in 1987. Anne has more than 36 years’ experience in the non-profit arts sector, including work with arts councils, community theatres, state advisory committees and task forces. She served a two-year term as President of the Southwest Performing Arts Presenters, a five-state consortium of arts administrators. 

Anne is an advocate of arts education programs for children and has been a workshop presenter and consultant on that topic. She is a member of the Southwest Performing Arts Presenters (SWPAP); the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) and the International Association of Performing Arts for Youth (IAPAY) and still enjoys some leisure time with her husband and family, including two daughters and nine grandsons.
